MAKAYLEE ANDERS
I am Makaylee, but you can call me May. I am in 6th grade, and I am 11. My birthday is June 14. I had a thumb injury on June 16th, 2021, from a log splitter. I am a Therapist friend! I don't care about your race, gender, beliefs, etc. I will still be kind no matter what. This is my first time in student newspaper, and I am very glad to be in it! Hope you all have a good year!

Hi! I love reading, writing, and drawing. I have a two-year old dog named Sprite who is always full of energy. I am looking forward to a year of writing for The OMS Chronicle.
ABIGAIL GRIGSBY
Hi, my name is Abigail Grigsby. I'm 11 years old, and I LOVE writing! When I was 10, I wrote a horror book called "The Doll." I also love dogs. My favorite show is Stranger Things, and my favorite food is DJ’s Pizza. When I saw that there was a student newspaper at OMS, I just knew I had to join. Why I love writing is because sometimes I want to be alone; so writing was always there for me when I needed it.
VICTOR JIMENEZ
My name is Victor Jimenez. I’m in 6th grade. I'm passionate, persistent, and kind. I was born in Venezuela where I spent five years living there. Afterward I came to Florida and lived there for seven years. Then I came to Tennessee. When I first entered middle school, I thought I would probably look childish and immature compared to the other students. I also thought people would make fun of me for being different. But when I got to Oakland, I discovered that it is a place where everyone has a good time, and everyone fits in even if everyone has their differences like my other schools. Oakland offers a lot of opportunities, and that’s when I found The OMS Chronicle. I thought, ´´Hmmm... this looks fun. I like writing.” I also like video games and watching YouTube. I have a channel but it only has two videos at the moment so yeah, it’s a work in progress. My main goal is to be successful in life, get into a good university, and make both my parents proud. I believe The OMS Chronicle will bring me closer to that goal.

Hey! I'm Rogina. I like reading and writing and when I start something, I must finish it. There is nothing better to do than to read from sunrise to sunset!! My friends would probably describe me as way too nice sometimes and passionate in anything that I do. My best friend is Kaleah - that's my boo for real!

My name's Isabella. I'm in 7th grade and have enjoyed writing and literature since a very young age. I love writing fictional short stories and writing about scenes I see in my everyday life. My favorite book is 'Tuck Everlasting' and my favorite series is 'The Hunger Games'!

Honestly, I don’t quite know if I’m one of the easiest people to interact with at first glance? But if I do get to know you, I swear I’ll try my best to be a kind person. I swear I’m not as hostile as I may seem to be, I believe I’m a partially kind and sweet person. Maybe. It depends. Maybe just find out for yourself.
