While I don't give my students a lot of homework, I expect them to practice their English outside of school. Whenever possible, please encourage your student to order their meals in English at restaurants, speak to the cashier at the grocery store, watch English television, or even read a book in English. If they use English for 30 minutes outside of school every day, it will improve their fluency.
