Baguio City

I am originally from Baguio ( / bæg / / yoʊ / ) City, Philippines. An interesting fact about my hometown is that it has been designed by Daniel Burnham who was an American architect and urban planner. Another interesting fact about Baguio is that it is nestled 10,000 feet above sea level, although my city is 45 minutes away from the ocean. The weather is similar to San Francisco, California. I speak Ilocano, Tagalog, English, and a little bit of Spanish.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Saint Louis University), Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language (University of the Cordilleras), Master's in Education major in Reading (Regis University), and a Master's +30 in Transformational Leadership (Concordia University - St. Paul).  Teaching is my second career. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a corporate communications specialist at Texas Instruments.

Universities attended

I have been teaching for 15 years and school year 2023-2024 will be my 16th. I have taught in a private school in Nashville and with Metro Nashville Public Schools before joining RCS. I am entering into my fourth year with RCS and OMS. My goal for my scholars is for them to grow academically and behaviorally. I believe that education is two-fold: feeding the intellect and building character.

I have many interests which include reading, writing, learning new languages, cooking, exploring new places, gardening (I have a bamboo garden!), taking care of my pets, calligraphy, photography, and volunteering in causes that I believe in. I am part of Advise Vanderbilt and a committee member for a private college in Nashville. I love coffee (decaf) and watching Filipino, Spanish, and Turkish telenovelas.

I am a fan of the Nashville Predators, Novak Djokovic, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi, Star Wars, and Manny Pacquiao.

I am a fan of the Nashville Predators.
