Welcome to Mr. Kinney's Webpage!

I have been blessed to have the privilege to teach band at Oakland Middle School since the day it opened. We have a second director, Mr. John Hearnes, who has also been here since day one.  I have been teaching since 1991 throughout middle Tennessee in grades 6-12.  Mr. Hearnes and I will do everything we can to make your child's experience one that will help them develop character and life skills through musical training.  I also perform regularly in a variety of different groups and I lead the orchestra at Northside Baptist Church.  I live happily in Murfreesboro with my wife and two awesome daughters.
