Daily Required Materials

  1. Composition Book (100 pages) - not metal spiral      4. Coloring pencils

Classroom Expectations

Please set aside a time to discuss the following rules, as well as the OMS Student Handbook:

  1. Arrive to class on time and sit in assigned seat. All tardies are turned into admin.
  2. Bring your journal every day! We are building a science textbook!
  3. Be respectful to all staff and classmates.
  4. Class participation is required. No Sleeping. Stay only on assigned task- no computer games. 
  5. No phones, air pods/earbuds, or headphones around the neck.
  6. No hoods or blankets inside the building.
  7. No Food/Candy or Drinks without lids or in glass bottles.
  8. No plagiarism, cheating, or other forms of academic dishonesty. 
  9. Use the restroom between classes. 5 passes per quarter.
  1. Follow all directions during safety drills- holds, secure, lockdowns, code blue, etc.
  2. Use professional, appropriate language only.                        
  3. At dismissal, stay in the classroom until your ride is called. 
  4. Students should check Skyward and Email DAILY.
  5. The OMS grading policy will be followed, including late and absent policy.
  6. It is the students’ responsibility to access the Schoology platform for class materials and to find out what was missed when absent. 
  1. In addition to the expectations above, students are responsible for following the   official OMS Student Handbook found on the school website.

Communication

Communication is the key to a successful year! I encourage students and parents to reach out to me as needed. Students may speak with me during class and send emails as well. Skyward will be used for important announcements and homework/project due dates. My teacher webpage, accessed through the OMS website, will also have important information and resources.
