Rutherford County Schools (RCS) Meal Charge Policy Update
RCS has implemented a new meal charge policy for students who accumulate a meal debt of $60 or more. Students with an outstanding balance at this level will receive an alternative meal for breakfast and/or lunch until the balance is paid in full.

Breakfast Alternative: 2 pieces of toast, an apple, and optional white milk

Lunch Alternative: Cheese sandwich, an orange, carrots, and optional white milk
Families are encouraged to apply for the Free/Reduced Meal Program if they believe they may qualify for assistance.
Funds can be added to a student’s meal account in the following ways:

By sending cash or check with the student

Through the MyPaymentsPlus app for secure electronic payments
