OHS Choir Information
Hello 8th graders/soon to be freshman!
It was so nice to meet many of you at Freshman Orientation last week, and I am so excited to meet those who I didn't get a chance to talk to.
I hope you will all consider being a part of the OHS choirs- we have so much fun over here, and we work hard to make beautiful music. I would love to have all of you!
Attached is the flyer I handed out during Freshman Orientation, which has information for you about our choirs and auditions for the upcoming school year. Some highlights include:

All freshman soprano/alto voices will sing in my Bel Canto choir. That way we can all work together to build a strong foundation.

All Tenor/Bass voices will be put into Patriot Voices, where all of my boys sing. That is the mixed SATB choir.
If you are planning to join choir at the high school, there is a form and a flipgrid that I need you to fill out. The form is just for me to know you, and the flipgrid is for your audition. The audition is a video of you introducing yourself (Instructions are in the flip grid), and a video of you singing the OHS Alma Mater (Instructions and lyrics are in the flip grid). It is very easy! This is an audition for me to hear your voice- not to see if you get in choir or not. I promise- you will sing in my choir! I just want to get a feel for what I will have next year. These are both due by April 15th

I sincerely hope you will all join choir next year. We work hard, we laugh a lot, and we are really proud of the music we make.
