Students of Oakland High School are invited to attend two events spotlighting local industries this fall through the Rutherford Works "Inside the Industry" event series.
First, Inside the Industry: Construction Spotlight will be held on Thursday, October 15, 5:30-7:30 PM at the MTSU School of Concrete and Construction Management (1727 Blue Raider Dr, Murfreesboro). Parking will be available in the Ezell Lot. Attendees will hear directly from construction companies and skilled trades professionals about training pathways and career opportunities. They can also explore the RCS Transportation and Construction Mobile Learning Lab.
Inside the Industry: Manufacturing Spotlight follows on Tuesday, October 27, from 5:30-7:30 PM at TCAT Murfreesboro - Smyrna Campus (663 Ken Pilkerton Dr., Smyrna). Industry professionals will share insights on training pathways and what it takes to succeed. Attendees can also explore the RCS Advanced Manufacturing and Career Exploration Mobile Learning Lab. The Fried Tater food truck will also be on-site for purchase.
Both events are free and open to ALL students, parents, and families across Rutherford County.
