NARRATIVE ASSIGNMENT 

READ “THE ELEVATOR” PAGE 31 IN TEXTBOOK.  

Write a narrative that continues the story from its ending. Write this in a point-of-view that is consistent to the text, using dialogue, description, and chronology to describe what happens. Your written response should be in the form of a multi-paragraph narrative story. Follow the conventions of standard written language.

The story is very well organized. One idea or scene follows another in a logical sequence with clear transitions. The falling action and resolution are clear to the reader.

The plot is well developed and is interesting and engaging for the audience. The story includes well-chosen dialogue. Point of view is consistent with the story.

The story uses widely varied and complex vocabulary.

The story has few errors in grammar and punctuation that do not impede the reader’s understanding of the story.
