Welcome to 6th grade Math! 

I am so excited to be your math teacher this year! This will be my third year at Oakland Middle School, and I am passionate about helping my students succeed in math. Math is a foundation for all other subjects, and I want to help you develop a solid foundation in math so that you can be successful in all your classes. 

I am a hands-on learner and believe that the best way to learn math is by doing it. In my classroom, we will be doing a lot of problem- solving, working on puzzles, and playing math games. We will also be using technology to help us learn math. 

I am also a big believer in making math fun. I know that math can be challenging, but also that it can be enjoyable. I want my classroom to be a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from your mistakes. 

I am looking forward to getting to know you all this year and helping you reach your full potential in math.
