Spin has been the theater artistic director for OMS since 2014. Prior to teaching theater at Oakland she served as the children's choir director and VBC music ministry leader for 7 years at New Vision Baptist Church.
In high school, Spin performed in the stage play, "Teach me how to Cry." This was where she fell in love with the stage, the spotlight, and the microphone. Throughout high school and college Spin was a part of select show choir ensembles, as well as mass choir.
Spin's all time favorite musicals are "Mamma Mia!", "Wicked", and "Phantom of the Opera". This year she fell in love with the musical "Beautiful: the Carol King Story."
Gene Hudson has been the music and choreography director for the OMS theater program and the director for the OMS choral department since 2015.
He has vast experience with performing in musical theater. Some of his shows include, "The Sound of Music" and "Sweeney Todd". He also has performed in a number of operas with the Nashville Opera including, "The Marriage of Figaro", "The Magic Flute", The Elizer of Love", and "Turandot".
Hudson's all time favorite musicals are "The Lion King" and "The Book of Mormon."
Pamela Mould has served as the backstage ninja since 2016. While living in eastern North Carolina, she has played characters in many community theater productions, such as "It's a Wonderful Life", "Narnia", and "Our Town".
Mrs. Mould enjoys participating in dramatic readings for playwright friends and working as a "stage ninja" as she did in "Mary Poppins", "Peter Pan", and "Haphazardly Ever After".
Pamela's all time favorite musicals are "Les Miserables" and "Fiddler on the Roof."
