Studies have shown that joining a club gives students a comfortable environment to meet others with similar interests. This often forms the basis for lifelong friendships. Students who participate in a variety of activities are introduced to new skills and given a chance to develop them. As students realize they "can do", their confidence level grows. Many clubs allow students to work together towards a common goal. Whether they are trying to win a game or complete a community service project, students learn to work as a team.
